At Darke Rural Electric Cooperative (Darke REC), our Board of Trustees is committed to ensuring that our cooperative operates with integrity, transparency, and a focus on serving our members. As a not-for-profit, member-owned electric distribution system, we prioritize the needs and interests of our community while upholding our mission:

Board of Trustees & Districts
Our board is composed of seven trustees, each representing a district within our service territory. Trustees are elected by the members they serve, ensuring leadership remains accountable and closely connected to the community.
- District 1 – Aaron Siefring (Mississinawa, Allen and Brown Townships in Darke County)
- District 2 – David Coons (Wabash, Patterson, York, Wayne and Richland Townships in Darke County)
- District 3 – Tod Carroll (Vice President) (Jackson, Washington and Greenville Townships in Darke County)
- District 4 – Michelle Marker (Secretary-Treasurer) (Liberty, Neave, Van Buren and Twin Townships in Darke County)
- District 5 – Robert Godown (Harrison and Butler Townships in Darke County)
- District 6 – Steve Vanzant (Jefferson, Monroe and Jackson Townships in Preble County)

2025 Board Election Information
Districts 1, 3, and 5 are up for re-election this year. Ballots will be mailed on February 14, 2025. Voting will be open from February 17 to March 17, 2025. Members can vote online, by mail-in ballot, or by phone. Results will be announced in person at the annual meeting.
- Annual Meeting: March 20, 2025, at Romer’s Catering in Greenville
- Online Voting: Opens February 17 at darkerec.coopballot.com
Future Elections
- 2026: Districts 4 and 7
- 2027: Districts 2 and 6
