Following the March 14 tornadoes, a total of 11 utility poles suffered damage, and extensive repairs were needed for several miles of power line.

The evening of our annual meeting, on March 14, 2024, our community was confronted with an unexpected trial as a powerful tornado swept through our area, leaving a trail of destruction. Despite the challenges posed by this natural disaster, the swift response from our cooperative and the unwavering efforts of our lineworkers played a pivotal role in restoring stability to our community.

The impact of the tornado was felt most along several key roads, including Fox Road, State Route 571, and Fisher-Dangler Road. A total of 11 utility poles suffered damage, and extensive repairs were needed for several miles of power line. However, our linemen rose to the occasion with dedication and resilience, swiftly mobilizing to tackle the daunting task at hand. Remarkably, within a mere 20 hours, electricity was restored to all members deemed safe to receive power.

As we endeavor to rebuild and recover from the aftermath of the tornado, it’s essential to acknowledge the unsung heroes who labored tirelessly behind the scenes. We express our deepest gratitude to the linemen for their exceptional efforts during our time of crisis.
