Ohio's Electric Cooperatives Youth Tour
|2019 Youth Tour delegates Sarah Siefring and Nathan Howe|
It’s not just another trip! Youth Tour is an annual program sponsored by Ohio’s Electric Cooperatives and Darke REC that gives deserving high school sophomores and juniors the opportunity to attend a week-long leadership trip to Washington, D.C., each June.
Electric cooperatives all over the country send students on Youth Tour. Once in D.C., you’ll get a chance to meet congressional leaders from Ohio at the U.S. Capitol and visit the wonderful historic sites that D.C. has to offer.
You must be a high school sophomore or junior, and your parents or legal guardian must be members of Darke REC. Selected students should be energetic and eager to make the most out of this fun opportunity to learn.
Unfortunately, Youth Tour 2021 has been cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Please check back for information on future Youth Tour programs.
